1.Hadimba Temple

Resting in the laps of nature, this temple provides a quiet breakout to nature and solitude admirers.

The Hadimba temple is a unique temple situated in the middle of snow-capped mountains of Manali. It is devoted to Hadimba Devi, who was the wife of Bhima and mother of Ghatothkach.

The temple was built in 1553 and is one of the most prominent places to visit in Manali.

Encircled by gorgeous cedar forests, this aesthetic shrine is constructed on a rock.

The pagoda-shaped Hadimba temple in Manali is not only exclusive in its architecture but is eminent for its pious value too.

The statue of Hadimba is made up of brass and is quite stunning.

2. Arjun Gufa

Arjun Gufa is regarded to be an ancient and eminent natural formation in Manali.

Pandava Arjuna meditated here to get the powers of Pashupati Astra from Lord Indra.

The cave is an ideal picnic spot and is also popular for the experience of scouting the creation from inside.

It is situated on the left side of River Beas and is in close proximity to the alluring Prini Village.

The caves render exceptional peace, tranquillity and isolation away from the rush at Manali.

3. Solang Valley

Solang Valley is one of the most famous tourist spots in Himachal Pradesh. It is situated 14 kilometres to the north west of the main town of Manali.

People of all age groups like to visit this place during winters to savour skiing and other adventure sports in summers.

From Solang Valley, one can get an awesome sight of the glaciers, the snow-covered peaks near the Rohtang Pass and wide plains of snow and ice.

The altitude of Solang Valley is such that it extends to be a perfect place to play in the snow and go skiing on the slopes.

There is no way one can possibly skip this valley, being one of the most spirited and fantastic places in Manali to visit.

4. Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass is situated at a distance of 51 kilometres from the main town Manali and can be reached only by road.

The pass is located at an immense altitude of 3978 metres.

The path up the mountains is a delight to the eyes. As the vehicle ascends higher on the Manali- Keylong road, the charm of the scenery around will leave you wonderstruck.

To travel up to or beyond Rohtang, a compulsory Rohtang Pass permit is needed by all visitors.

Cost of the pass: INR 500 per head plus INR 50 charged as a congestion fee.

For up to Rohtang Pass only

For travelling beyond Rohtang Pass.

Permit for travelling to Rohtang can be obtained online. For booking your permits offline, you can do so from the Tourist and Information centre on all days from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. But obtaining pass offline is purely on the first-come-first-serve basis.

To just snug on your seat in the car as it starts to get icy-cold with every growing metre on the elevation scale and staring outside at the captivating charm of nature is a complete delight.

The pass is an encounter with nature in one of its rawest forms plausible, amidst mountain peaks covered with snow, stunning, glorious and sprawling sceneries and views. The grandeur of the white topography and majestic silence is an enchanting thing worth encountering.

The slope tempts people from all over the region to admire its beautiful panorama and fresh snow!

5. Jogini Waterfall

Soothing sounds of nature, mesmerising views, and some lavish genuine Himachali delicacies – Jogini Falls have it all for the backpackers and nature enthusiasts.

It is about 3 kilometres away from the rushy town of Manali. The waterfall gushes from a height of 160 feet.

The trek route to the waterfall is magnificently beautiful as it passes through pine trees, orchard and several small streams, making it a complete pleasure to the eyes.

As one ascends, they will get a pleasing view of River Beas and the peaks of Rohtang. If visiting during winter, these peaks are snow-covered making the landscape a superb sight.

It takes about 20 minutes to 1 hour to trek to the top of Jogini Waterfall, so make sure you carry your camera to capture and expose yourself to the mind-boggling charm of the spot.

The Jogini Waterfall must be visited to undergo its enchantment when traversing the incredible valley of Manali.

6. Pandoh Dam

This is one of the ideal places to visit in Manali if you are looking to spend time in a pristine, unexplored place.

The dam is constructed over the Beas River and lies in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. It is 88 kilometres away from Manali.

The dam is encompassed by tall pine trees and the lush green hills of the Himalayas.

You can adore the flora and panoramic beauty around the dam. The view of the blue and green water reservoir surely makes up for some outstanding shots.

The dam can be simply reached by road. However, prior consent is needed from the authorities to visit the dam.
