The garden is open all seven days of a week and attracts tourists of all ages.
Zakir Hussain Rose Garden
Asia's largest Rose Garden spread over 30 acres of land and is situated in Sector 16. Over 1600 different species of roses make this garden a complete alluring place. There are around 32500 other trees and medicinal plants that add to its beauty. All plants have been planted beautifully and systematically through well-managed flower beds and carved lawns. Every Rose Festival is celebrated every year by the end of February or beginning of March.
Government Museum and Art Gallery
Located in Sector 10-C (near Rose Garden), The Government Museum and Art Gallery of Chandigarh is a natural history museum and an art gallery. It was established in August 1947 and designed by noted architect, Le Corbusier. The Government Museum and Art Gallery has the sections like National History Museum, the National Gallery of Portraits, Chandigarh Architecture Museum, other than the gallery. Open Hand Monument
This monument is located in Sector 1, the Capitol Complex of Chandigarh. It is designed by the architect Le Corbusier. The Government of Chandigarh values it as its emblem. The height of the monument is 26 meters (85 ft) and the metal structure weight is 50 short tons (100,000 lb). It was designed to rotate in the wind.
