Arignar Anna Zoological Park
Arignar Anna Zoological Park is also called the Vandalur Zoo. It was the first public zoo in India and is spread over an area of 602 hectares. The Arignar Park also is the largest zoological garden in India, for it houses around 1,500 wild species, of animals, bird and insects. Mahabalipuram is situated 60 km south of Chennai. It is an ancient historic town and has been a major seaport in its time. They are formed by cave temples, massive rathas (chariots), sculpted reliefs and structural temples. The pillars are of the Dravidian order.
