Top 5 tourist attractions in Visakhapatnam

Visakhapatnam, also known as Vizag is essentially named after God Vaishaka. Today an industrial town and headquarter of Eastern Naval command along the Bay of Bengal, the city has been ruled over by Great Kings like Asoka and Krishnadeva Ray during the Kalinga reign.

GetMeCab has recently come to Visakhapatnam with its exceptional One Way, Return Trip, and Local City taxi services. It seeks to share the same kind of love that it has been sharing over the last 5 years elsewhere in India.

Today Vizag has a reputation as an interesting and attractive destination and welcomes a plethora of tourists all year round for holidays. The city is surrounded by three hill ranges namely, Ross Hills, Sri Venkateshwara Konda, and Dargah Konda. Each of these hills ranges are dedicated to three different Indian religions- Hindus, Christians and Muslims.

Some of the most happening destinations in Visakhapatnam are as follows:

1. Borra Caves

The word Borra actually means ‘Hole’ in the Oriya language. The place is very close to Orissa, thus the influence. The caves are well known and attract hordes of tourists and locals every month for their unique and beautiful stalactites and stalagmites formations which have developed over millions of years. The approach to the caves has a serene stream flowing through the base. A Shivlinga is placed at the core which is greatly believed in and worshipped by the locals.
