• Dasaswamedh Ghat
Although there are 87 ghats in Varanasi the main attraction is Dasaswamedh Ghat. Dashashwamedh Ghat is located at the bank of the holy river Ganga near to the old Vishwanath Temple. Some say that it is the oldest ghat in Varanasi. The major attraction of this ghat is Ganga Aarti, a spectacular event held in evening is a must see. While the Aarti is in the process, It fills every moment with spirituality and peace. The is performed by the brass lamps accompanied with the mantra chant in the presence of the huge crowd. Other famous ghats of Varanasi are Manikarnika, Asi ghat, Banaras ghat.
Sarnath a sacred place where holy men fell to earth is located just 12 km from the holy city of Varanasi. Sarnath is the site of the deer park where Gautama Buddha first taught the Dharma after his enlightenment. Today it's one of the four key sites on the Buddhist circuit (along with Bodhgaya, Kushinagar and Lumbini in Nepal) and attracts followers from around the world, especially on Purnima (or, informally, Buddha's birthday), when Buddha's life, death and enlightenment are celebrated, usually in April or May.
• Golden Temple (Kashi Vishwanath)
Revered as one of the 12 Jyotirlingas of holy lord Shiva the present temple of Kashi Vishwanath was build by Rani Ahilyabai after Shiva appeared in her dream. The Golden towers is almost 15.5 meters in height and a marvellous sight to be seen. It has an inner sanctum that comprises a linga made up of black stone placed in a silver altar, on the floor. There are three shrines in a row on the south and around the temple, there is a cluster of five lings, which combined known as Nilakantheshvar temple.
• Archaeological Museum
This is one of the core places for the art history lover as well as the cultural enthusiast to visit in Sarnath. This museum is located next to the excavation site and houses the upper part of the Ashokan Pillar. Lovely collection of Buddhist artefacts found during excavations. Excellent sculptures of Buddha and Bodhisattvas and the Monk Bala patronized statue with the umbrella. Some of the artefacts are quite famous in India and some are very intricate.
• Sankat Mochan Hanuman Temple
This temple is also called as the Monkey temple because of the presence of a lot of monkeys inside the premises. Located in the southern part of the Varanasi, on the way to the Durga Mandir and New Vishwanath this temple is dedicated to the lord Hanma. This temple was constructed by the educationist and freedom fighter Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya (the founder of the BHU) in the early 1900s. The Hanuman Jayanti (birthday of the Lord Hanuman) is celebrated every year by organizing a special Shobha Yatra (a parade) from Durga temple (Durga Kund) to the Sankat Mochan Temple.

Bharat Mata Temple is among the beautiful temples constructed in 1936 by Babu Shiv Prasad Gupt, a Gandhian follower. It is situated within the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapeeth. The shrine is dedicated to Mother India and possesses a beautiful marble structure, which was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. It is one of a kind thing. There's a map carved out of marble depicting all the types of landforms India has. And the temple is dedicated to our very own Goddess of India.
